National Honor Society NHS

The nation’s premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school level students. More that just an honor roll, NHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character. These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since its beginning in 1921. Invitations are extended to eligible members, applications are then completed, and an interview component follows. From there, students chosen by a selection committee are inducted. Members also offer a free tutoring service twice per week after school in the Media Center
