Kids Create

Kids Create is a program that aims to educate and bring art appreciation to the lower grade levels through ambassador High School mentors. These High School mentors plan engaging and dynamic art lessons targeting the interest and skill level of first grade students at Schoenly School. Once a month, our members meet at Schoenly school to then teach those lessons. Kids Create provides the opportunity for High School artists to step into the role as teacher and explore the rewards and challenges of developing lesson plans, managing an art classroom, and working with young artists. Kids Create members also work with faculty members and administration to execute district wide art initiatives to build bridges between the generations and spread art awareness throughout the community.
