Andrew Cammarano » BIO

Since starting at Spotswood in 2008, I have taught English 9, 10 and 11 as well as Mythology and Media and Journalism.
Currently I am co advisor of the newspaper and Head Football Coach as well as English Department Chair grades 6-12 for ELA.
I love working at Spotswood and enjoy working with Chargers on their literary analysis, writing, and critical thinking when it comes to all types of literature.
I have been head football coach since 2007 and we have won the blue division in 2014, 2015 and 2016.
We pride ourselves on our family atmosphere as a team and we work very hard to be our best year in and year out.
When I'm not teaching I enjoy writing, reading mythology, non fiction, ancient history books as well as spending time with my family.
I earned my B.A. in English from William Paterson in 2001, and my M.A. in writing from William Paterson in 2008.
I've wanted to be an English teacher, Head Football Coach, and writer since I was young. 2 out of 3 ain't bad!
"The man who lies asleep will never waken fame...and all his life drift past him in a smoke in air or ripples on a stream".
--Dante Alighieri
