Sarah Carino-Koza, Director of Bands
Mrs. Sarah Carino-Koza is the Band Director at Spotswood High School where she conducts the Pep Band, Jazz Band, Honors Wind Ensemble, Concert Band, and Brass Choir. She teaches Honors and Advanced Placement Music Theory, and conducts the pit orchestra for SHS's annual spring musical.
Mrs. Carino-Koza has been teaching in Spotswood since 2003, where she began as Band Director at the Appleby School and moved to SHS in 2004. She holds a Bachelors of Music in Music Education and Piano Performance from Westminster Choir College, and a Masters of Education in Music Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. Mrs. Carino-Koza is active as an accompanist for vocal and instrumental ensembles in the tri-state area, serves as pianist for the Freelance Ensemble Artists Orchestra, plays French horn in the Central Jersey Wind Ensemble, and loves spending her free time traveling with family, staying active, and learning about food.
