Program Philosophy

The Softball Program at Spotswood High School will look to create a culture based off of the following three pillars: Passion, Sacrifice, and Pride. The coaching staff will provide our athletes with the foundation of what it means to be a member of a team, the commitment it takes to achieve specific goals and mindset to overcome challenges.

The Passion shown will be through consistently working hard, raising the bar for our team goals, and pursuing opportunities for growth and improvement. Our willingness to Sacrifice for the betterment of the team will be demonstrated through responsibility and accountability through our academics, community, and team commitment. Pride along with loyalty, will be shown through supporting our teammates, proudly wearing Spotswood apparel, and through positive interactions with others.

When our student athletes graduate from our program, our hope is they have learned many life lessons and developed characteristics necessary to be successful in the future. They will recognize the traditions they are leaving behind, thanks to their Passion, Sacrifice and Pride.
